My very FIRST lesson

At 12.30pm, I taught my very first lesson in my teaching life (besides relief teaching in the past) on Decimals. Thankfully, I had no periods before that and could take my whole morning to prep myself for the class. Worst thing was that I had diarrhea this morning before leaving house and in school...Does stress cause diarrhea and nausea? hahah. I was quite worried I would feel unwell during my class but thank God i'm fine.

Well, the class went fine initially during the game segment. However, once I started teaching, I dunno if I'm too slow or what...they seemed to be really bored =(( I hope its because its the last 2 periods for the day...A little hard to engage them when I have no choice but to cover the content...Thankfully, at least 90% of them understood...i hope!

It was a good learning experience - have to brush up on how I could try to engage the pupils more. Overall, I think I shocked the kids (and even myself) at how many of their names I could remember! Fortunately, they were very well-behaved with my CT (coordinating teacher) at the back of the class.. haha. At least I dont have to exhaust myself further with disciplining the class. It was sweet of the pupils to say "bye Ms Goh" to me personally..think I'm pretty close to my math class already :D

Really thank God for placing great CTs in this school. All 3 of them are young, dynamic, experienced and interesting teachers!! I'm very impressed at the way they teach, with their different teaching styles~ Also, they were so nice to keep reassuring me that I neednt be stressed for this practicum. =)

I'm glad that all the training teachers could get along well too!! Always joking around in our 'staff room'... never fails to brighten up the school day =)) Even went to Nihon Murai just now with the whole bunch cept Sue~ fun to hang out with them.. good thing I dun meet with backstabbing people whom I always hear about in others' practicum experience.

Thank God for everything =)

Children's Little Museum

On tues, Dan and I celebrated Eunice's birthday for her on her actual day =) Supposed to go to a board games cafe....but when Mr DF told me that theres board games cafe in Bugis, it sounded like he knew where it was...However, when we met up, he din noe where... x_x In a last min change of plans, we wanted to go Kandahar St to eat some green curry (best in Singapore according to DF)...end up, its closed from 3pm - 6pm!

While looking out for some chill out place along Muscat St, Eunice suddenly remembered that theres this interesting Children's Little Museum..and for $2 each, we had a lot of fun remininscing and taking photos! The best part of it all...was that as a history student who conducted oral history on my maternal grandma not too long ago, I found many things there super familiar! Its so amazingg! Esp when my grandma was describing this particular small triangle cloth that she used to sew from leftover cloth to keep her children's chest warm - I'm so glad that they still had it...because in this museum, its like history coming alive, as its part of our heritage.

Anyway, the photos can be clicked as they are linked to a bigger and clearer photo! :D

how children got to watch movies in the past

Photobucket
thought it was just a display item, until my itchy hands went to flip the switch and it started playing OMG! Watched a black and white action comedy film (without sounds, that means super elaborate actions) Din watch for long, cos its tiring to squart or bend down! There are many controls to adjust the speed, lighting, etc. Cool stuff!

Halfway through the dinner, Ce Rong came to join us!
Photobucket
we talked about the usual camp stuff - teased Ce Rong and Daniel about their SPs, talk about Leng Kian and see how Eunice gets excited, hahaha.

Photobucket

And lots of Ce Rong's signature pose to end the night =)

Visit the Children's Little Museum! Its a very nice quiet place to hang out with your friends, be educated about our parents' kampong generation and take photos!

Why Teaching?

I ask myself a lot - Why am I in this career?

I still remember the days somewhere 1 to 2 semesters ago when I wanted to quit NIE quite badly =/ If not for the money I have to pay back, I might have left. Well, looking back now...Its probably a dry period in my life...which I still am half in. haha. Sometimes I struggle and fear teaching..and because of this stress, i ended up having insomnia the first 3 nights of school. Super frustrated due to the unrested sleep =(( However, when I chatted with Lizzie over the phone on Wed afternoon (for an hour plus!), peace came over me during the conversation as we discussed many things... Probably my fear level drop to 30%...After reading Dr Cho's Fourth Dimension book about what fear can do to you and how it paralyses your ability and capability...I pretty much have a renewed mindset. Now...I would give it a 'sometimes 10%, sometimes 25%'. The good thing about this stressful situation is that it makes me lean on God more...for wisdom and strength. For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of LOVE, POWER and a SOUND MIND. =))

I think I might slowly enjoy school life. I'm starting to build rapport with some of the kids in my class already..as I walk around (the back of the class) to check on their understanding when the teacher assigns them work. Its quite amazing to watch the daily change..of how the kids begin to open up towards me =) And today, I went to the toilet...its so cute! Miniature toilet bowl and low sink. cutecutecute!

Anyway, we are who we think we are. So, think positively! =)

Lesson Learnt

Its first day of school - woke up to a bad start in the morning.. but thankfully, despite going to school with a heavy heart and what not, I wasnt late and was greeted by the warm smile of a new friend heh. =)

The teachers in charge of me were only informed about them having to help us jus the night before school started...so last minute, and they din noe about us or wad to do. jeex. I observed a teacher today..she was really stern but in a good way. At least the class is listening to her! .....

I was given a relief period for primary 3 class....OMG!!!!!!!! I thought that I could let them do whatever they want cos they promised to behave............... yeah. U know what happened lah. Once I lost control of the class, it was a goner. I tried my switch-off-fans-and-lights technique which worked very well in my previous school but they looked at me for a brief moment and continued their din. x_x My voice just get drowned in all the commotion going on. Well, lesson learnt. Now I know that I cant do it this way hahah. =) Like other teachers say, this is the time to make mistakes and learn from it. I'll figure out how to be more firm! o_o

Inspite of feeling quite sian that I quite screwed up in my first lesson, I was really touched when a pupil said "goodbye Ms Goh" when I was walking out of school. Even though I did badly, some kid still realized my kind intentions of letting them play hahah. That instance made me feel like its all worth it =D and it brightened my day!

Aja Aja Fighting all!

Everyday is a new exciting adventure =)

Ah-Go-Go Girls!

Just a week ago, a few of us helped out in our zone's Parent's Day event by performing a retro dance to the songs - Mambo No. 5 and Wo Yao Ni De Ai.. The girly moves choreographed by Bevan were so girly, slightly teh but cute! There were many changes to the performancers, and in the end, it was just the 5 of us: Napalie, Xin Yi, Eunice, Elizabeth and me. I think its just nice! Eunice and I just learnt the dance for a few hours the day before the actual performance (due to camp) and thank God it turned out well still!

As usual, we had a lot of fun! Wahh, a little stage fright thou...x_x Bevan prepared us pretty well..making us plaster extreme facial expressions on our face hahaha.

To remember this very day, there were many photos taken. even during our prep time!

Sandra was supposed to help us do our make up as shes a professional make up artist..however, she couldnt help us in the last min...and we...wack ahhh. Or at least for me. N its hard to do retro hair on my short hair!

Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
Our outfits were coordinated very last minute too, and I had to do a last minute dress change to suit Eunice's dress as the 2 of us have a mini twin performance haha.

Photobucket
yaay! Bevan managed to find pink feather fans for us!!

Photobucket

Finally, the scary time is here! All the parents are here alreadyyyy!! And the event beginss.
Photobucket

Photobucket

We were the first item. Hopefully, the parents enjoyed our cute dance performance! =D
Photobucket

Photobucket

Photobucket
lol, can see we werent very synchronized! =X

Photobucket

The next item is by JAS!
Photobucket
they were really amazing and inspirational. Love their voices and how they carry the glory of God =))

before we finally change, we take a few last shotsss!

Anyway, primary school is starting tomorrow! My practicum will start along with it...its quite scary as I dun really feel very prepared as yet! Pray that I will get along well with my new trainee teacher friends and also have good relations with my supervisor, coordinating teachers and fellow colleagues. Also, hoping for a good class..thankfully I'm in a very good school..so it should be fine.

All the best to all NIE friends =)

Elevate... UP AH!

It was a very fun and memorable last FOC for the old year 4 me.. cant believe Uni life passed so fast, just like that. A good 3 years..with many memories with my roomie in Hall 10, with Xue Min and Pei Ying in Hall 8 and the numerous camp, hiking, expedition trip and CCA friends I have made from both NTU and NUS. Its just WOW. I din have such great memories from sec nor poly..but uni life is just AMAZING =) Nowadays whenever I meet freshies, I would always tell them to make full use of their uni life..cos its so exciting and there are so many activities you can join! Dont waste it! Start by joining as many FOCs as you can... esp hall and faculty camps. I think I did quite a lot of things throughout my uni life....and Elevate camp is another camp that left an impact on my life.

I'm so glad that I was in the same OG with Eunice, besides Daniel (already same OG with him a few times)..hehe. I realized that being together 24/7 can either make or break a friendship..and in Eunice and my case, it built our friendship to a new height! We knew each other for about 2 years but the once/twice a week that we saw each other did not amount to quality time..also, we tried having dinners together during sch days which helped us get to know each other better, however, it didnt have the same effect as the camp. Hahaha. For one, the 2 of us shared a single room..and the same bed! The first night was slightly weird initially..cos I havent been so close to a girl since sleeping with xue min almost a year ago. Nonetheless, we chatted for some time..and even closed the night with a prayer for the entire camp and each other...=)

Anyways, theres so many experiences in this camp..and I cant possibly type everything out. I'll let the pics do more of the talkingg!

Photobucket
our very first group pic
u can see how small the OG was initially..just 8 of us. We were so close =)

Photobucket
during the many station camps which required travelling..we took several pics along the way. (while we still have the energy for it!)

One of the station game was "A E I O U" which was played something like the "What is the time Mr Wolf" and required us to transport the bottle back to the starting point
Photobucket

Photobucket
fingers pointing all over LOL!

We played Eagle catch Chicks game too
Photobucket
when its such a long line, the legs really tangle up during all the running.. Fell twice..once on my butt and back..(butt damn pain) and poor Ji Ji fell and hit her head.

we also had this duck walk cum scissors-paper-stone game...whereby the opposite team gets to put a mark on our face using camo cream before sending us back to the starting line
Photobucket
as u can see...the opposite team has something against me!!! x_x

Photobucket
i was the only one with moustache! luckily can wash away!

that night.... we kana 'te kan' =(((
we had to suck ping pong balls out of pails of milo, crawl around the field looking for marble balls, prowl flat when the siren is on, kana ink water bombs, colgate, flour and what not..just to get 3 marbles to get out of the field.
Photobucket
The stupidest and funniest thing Eunice and I did was that we were so excited when we saw the light sticks (as light sticks = station games) that we din realize that we had crawled out of the playing zone.. Some committee members were asking us wat we were doing...and we kept saying "station game, station game!" i dunno wad happened in all that commotion..but i suppose that we were dragged back to the playing field and kana some ink bombs and white stuff. hahaha. oh man, how silly we must have been!!

we were considered pretty fortunate..for quite a lot of the others had a lot of stuff in and on their hair! (yucks!)

that night, in our super hurry to get back to shower...we pang seh our group mates (oops....) and rushed off! Daniel promised to bring us across a shorter way..................but you know what happened lah. We climbed A LOT of steps (NUS is indeed the National University of Stairs) and chionged with all our might. In the end, we ended up still slower that the people who were originally in front of us...and they were walking at leisurely pace lor! x_x Thanks to Daniel, Eunice and I had extreme muscle ache the next 2 days haha!!

Day 2 was the Monopoly game (which is basically Amazing Race with a fresh twist!) We travelled between NTU, NUS and JP for the stations and had a lot of fun!~

Photobucket
Before we set off, we had a mini oussh photo to showcase our friendship band team identity (idea of yours truly, colours selected by Eunice, and hardwork of all) hehehe! It turned out really beautiful, compared to the other grps!

At our first station, we were supposed to answer 10 questions about Singapore's history (pro over here!) and take a step forward for every correct answer... we sent our Lady Gaga...and this is her 1 step:

Photobucket
beautiful spilt!

Another station required 1 to be blindfolded and pick up a bottle from the middle....after several tries, DAN THE MAN did it!
Photobucket
AMAZING!

We slacked quite a bit at JP..cos the guys were so excited about writing letters and stuff to their 'SP'
Photobucket
supposed to be the word "Simpsons" (our team name) but...oh well.

That night, we had our "Fright night" and jeeeeex. The only good part about it was probably the surprise...we had no idea what was going on..totally bought their story that the bus is late, parked very far away, etc..
I must admit that I was pretty scared at first..cos fright night haD always been scary!! This fright night....was more like a FUNNY night. They did a few stupid things... like a fat guy wearing a smiley boxers at the exit..etcc. -_-!

while we were really waiting for the bus, we played 'Stock Market' (a trading game similar to Heart Attack) and did a lot of stupid forfeits!! lol... one was given by Daniel to me... that I have to run from one end of the canteen to the other end, shouting "AHHHHHH... THE SKY IS FALLING THE SKY IS FALLING!!" omg. paiseh.

Photobucket
Eunice designed our dear egg... to be spider pig! whatever that isss. its cute~

The 3rd day! Dear Jess had to leave us as she had to go back to Malaysia..we hearts her! Cos shes such a friendly and sweet gal.
Photobucket

Photobucket
Daniel and Eunice still enjoying the mass dance steps (hehehe)

Photobucket
Ce Rong hao lian!!
hahaha.

Photobucket
and off we go, to do community service at a child care =))

Photobucket
it was super meaningful.. and the kids enjoyed us!
they din really like the Monkey, Gorrilla, Chimpanzee..but now we know that they love playing games like London Bridge, Trees and Squirrel, What Time is it Mr Wolf, kinda games. (besides fighting)

and this is my fav boy, Dickson!
Photobucket
Sweet little thing =))

Photobucket
with the group of kids we played with! =D

Photobucket

On the 4th day, we practiced some skit moves...
Photobucket
Woot! pretty right? =P

played some war games on the field..which made quite a lot of pple sun burnt. The war games werent really fun due to some loop holes in the game rules..but we had our own fun as we ran around shooting each other with water guns on our own! heh heh!

at the end of the game, I dunno how I made so many 'enemies' or why I look like a attractive target to get dunked...Kana pails after pails of water from my back...egah.

Photobucket
hehe. U probably cant see here, but on our hands, we wrote S I M P S O N S !
=D

We showcased our skit to the other campers..Not too sure if its good, but we still had a lot of fun hahah. I think they made the wrong choice of picking me to be the narrator thou! I have a 'sian' voice!

All in all, even though our group was small initially, had quite a few joining and leaving us throughout the camp, we were really amazing to be the 2nd best group! Missing the first group by just ONE MARK! omg!
Photobucket
Presenting to you.......the SIMPSONS! =D

39.9 degrees

The past week has been hectic and busy, with camp and all sorts of activities thereafter. This week, on the other hand, is very slow-paced...as my dear ben has fallen sick. Not just normal sick, but pretty serious =( He has sudden fever on Monday afternoon at work..and by the time he got home, it was almost 39 degrees. Poor guy...usually so tough but is reduced to a weak 'baby'. The worst thing was the sudden rise in his temp over the night..to 39.9 degree cel this morning.. thankfully his mother checked on him and we were all panicky, as we din noe what to do. Wanted to bring him to the hospital at first..but A&E usually wait pretty long..bout few hours. After all the hoo-ha, we brought him to the nearby polyclinic instead.

a sick ben
Poor him...super weak and cold

We were actually quite worried that it could be H1N1 as 1 of the guys from the Sentosa gathering just returned from New York. The guy's fine...so all we can do is pray for the best. His fever hovered ard the 39 range the entire morning till mid afternoon..making him so weak that he couldnt really walk.. thank God that he's better now.. at least his fever subsided to the 37-38 range and he is sleeping without shivering already.

M quite touched by all the concern that some friends have been showing... by asking bout him and his condition. =)

So thankful for friends =) plz continue to keep him in prayers, thanks!

Swim, Swim

Fun, fun, fun - the word to describe the day! Glad that all went well.. was a little worried that I wouldnt be able to be a good host and stuff... with 6 of them coming over! but, all's well..it wasnt as much trouble as the first time as some of them know the way here already. N i know how to give directions to my house: 2nd stop after Courts!

We watched a couple of short artsy films from Alex's collection while waiting for the rest to come. It was inspiring, cos the camera angles and shots were really beautiful!! One of it has Nick Shen acting in it...as a gay. Oh gawd. Its damn disturbing that he really french kissed another guy, even thou its jus a show. x_x

Great that Eunice brought 2 fun stuff - a spongebob bat and a big ball! =D

Daniel

Chin Ghee
Nice shot of the ball in mid air!

We had a lot of fun in the pool - a total of 8 of us: Daniel, Alex, Cindy, Chin Ghee, Eunice, Liz, Sis and me =D We played many games loll - monkey, ice man, catching, volleyball, EVEN BASEBALL (so confusing!), etcetc. At the last part, we slacked at the jacuzzi..and played wacko there LOL! Wacko - in Chinese names!! Goosh, it was so confusing, esp the girls name!!

Cindy - Yu Jing
Chin Ghee - Jing Yi
Eunice - Yu Ting
Liz - Li Ting
Seb - Min Yu
Helena - Yi Xin
Dan - Quan Yi
Alex - Wei Jie

hahah, the first few pple made to whack were so confused! U can see that they take damn long to figure out who's the name lolz. Only Alex's chinese name wasnt so confusing.

That evening, quite a few of us went to Riverwalk's prayer meet together. Good that theres a direct bus from my place...cept that its 45 mins!

Yummy Korean food!

Ever since I moved, my family and I hadnt tried much of the tons of food variety ard Bukit Timah... until one fine day, Daniel introduced this Korean restaurant called Kim's Family ard the Tua Pek Kong Temple or 'Big carpark' hahha. I had no idea where, but the previous generation do. It was a teeny bit weird - Dad, mum, daniel and me, when we went there for the first time. BUT, I thank Dan for bringing us there! Even thou we ordered wrongly, as we wanted to bbq the meat ourselves but ordered meat thats bbq-ed already, it was still very, very yummy. The free-flow side dishes were a bonus tooo!

Today, my family went again! :D With Ben and sis this time =) We got to bbq ourselves, with some occasional help from this cute waitress. I asked her if she stays in Springdale because I was so convinced I saw her walk past the lift once. Yes, she stays in my block, same lobby, jus 2 floors below. What a coincidence!

All in all, we had a great great great time with the food =D

Photobucket

Photobucket

My weird sister ate plain rice with some side dishes here and there because she dun like the fats in the beef, and she doesnt eat pork. The weird part is - she said she likes the food a lot, BECAUSE OF THE RICE! x_x

The restaurant is along Lorong Kilat - its even published on The New Paper in 2008 before. Wow =)

Hi! from the lift

Photobucket
first photo taken in the lift, ever since we moved in!

I think I'm getting quite used to my new place :D even during the longggggggggg journeys to and fro from church felt okay, with the company of my litta sister and sometimes, daniel :D hahah.

So far, everyday that I am home, I would religiously visit the gym! Quite proud of it hehe. Working towards the goal of digging to the bottom of my stomach and discovering my abs. hahaha! People keep telling me im skinny and everything, but jeesz, its hard not to be self conscious when my boyfriend's waist is smaller den mine (what the...right?!) and... he eats lesser than me =(((( Woah lao, make me feel guilty everytime when I'm hungry before he is =(

Tml is badminton and swimming day =)

Yes, its a photo blog.

Hooray! Stupid me thought it was the end when Blogger album refused to let me upload anymore photos...till I recalled that once upon a time (a few years ago), I used to use photobucket. haha. even better, I'm using Ben's personal server host to host my photos. woot!

The photo blogging is back with a vengeance!! xD

I had a haircut twice in 2 days...cos I went to Snip Avenue to cut some bangs for $3.80. I learnt the very hard way that - you pay peanuts, you get monkeys. oh *toot*!!! I told the auntie what I want....and she cut the Fann Wong's bangs for me! CMI.... I couldnt take it on Sat and went back to my usual hairdresser, introduced by Bryan some hair cuts ago. He managed to remedy my fringe... but im not too sure about the rest. =/ I think I look kinda like a tomboy now, esp when my hair isnt styled. :(

Wore one of my favourite dress on Sat..and made my sis go black and white with me. hahaa.

haha, sis and I were being rubbish. N it was our very last photos together in the Punggol house.

Anyway, during the long packings... Found some hidden and super forgotten stuff -

platform shoes when I was p6. LOL.

who are the sick asses who did this?!

ben looks like my toys

??

ta-da!

Wed- super duper fun day with my dear friends over! :D :D As we couldnt play badminton, we went on our 'picnic' hike to Hindhere quarry in Bukit Timah hill:
perfect candid shot!

checking out the rail way~

we decided against walking on the rail way cos we saw the red light sign in front...what if theres a train!?

before we embacked on the trail for a before and after photo

destination!

We reached there and wondered wad to do.. I guess we totally forgotten about the 'picnic' plan.. with all the snacks in daniel's bag. We decided to do some noob cheerleading stuff -

its damn scary to be so near the edge!!!

ben's knees gave way and they both toppled!

this should be the way mah.. but look at Ben's fearful frown.

pose for the camera!

Groupiee

found a super old playground along the way back -
why the swing so weirdly designed, how to swing!?

the butt cant fit, but at least the head can.

the slide looks fun, but no one tried cos its dirtY!

Eunice suggested to walk on the rail tracks back to the condo. Heh, everyone's so spontaneous!

ahh, how I wish I possess Alex's camera!

Hello! from my new house~

Heyy guys, haven blogged for a week..and thats pretty unlike me! The moving house business kept me up to my neck..egah! and I din have internet till now. The whole weekend was busy packing. It wasnt the 'just throw everything into the boxes and move'... Seriously, my entire family are super amazed how my 91 square feet Punggol mini flat could hold SO MUCH RUBBISH!!! OMFgggg. We threw A LOT of stuff, and still had A TON of stufffffff!! x_x It was a horrifying experience. Now, we will think ten times before buying ANYTHING!

The packing took 2 days.. but the unpacking.......... its still not finished after 3 days and in fact, it looks like its gonna take a week, or more. x_x Its really damn boring to be alone at home and pack myself...N its super great and nice and wonderful that Ben could take some off to help me out a lot during the moving!! He helped me so much that my parents absolutely LOVES him!! N today, my dad and him even spoke about our marriage stuff privately, brought up by my dad. hohoho!

Moving to this new place is a love-hate relationship. I love the place and I hate the place. -_-! Its nice and peaceful..the house is bigger..but, it just doesnt feel like home yet.. i hate the distance from Ben, church and cellgroup. N the thing is.. I hate taking buses cos I get bus sick easily. If only the circle line comes here!! However..I had quite a lot of fun on Wed..with Liz, Dan, Eunice, Cheryl and Ben all at my place. For the badminton! (but we missed the timing I booked cos we were supposed to meet at 1pm, the booking is at 2pm..and the last arrived at 3pm) 1 unit is only permitted an hour a day! egah. Wish its more!! Nonetheless, our second plan is SOME HIKING! hahah. it turned out a pretty leisure walk along Bukit Timah Hill. Its just right behind my house! Was hoping real bad to see some monkeys cos I wanna take pics with them man.. only saw one from far today. boo. We went to the nice quarry place..think its called Hindere quarry, or something. Took some pics..did some shoulder sitting there. Me on Ben, screaming, grabbing his head and pulling his hair cos he kept bouncing, jumping and what not...somemore near the edge of the quarry..and I haf water phobia cum height phobia haha. Dan went up on Ben...but Ben's knees gave way, which was totally expected. Ben went up on Dan..and it looks quite nice and cool hahah. Cept when Dan wanted to do some dunnowhat stunt with Ben on top and FINALLY Ben said he understood why I was grabbing his head so hard. hahah.

I really had lotsa fun when friends come over! next few days seem kinda boring thou. Gotta do unpacking and stuff =( Will try to get the photos up soon, but thats at least 2 days later, till I meet Ben..as my camera cable is with him. Have a great weekend coming up!

The sick pig says *HI*

So, Wassup lately?! Nothing's up for me, being a sick pig. I have been staying home a lot the past week due to the cough, flu, headache and occasional fever. The most happening thing I did was to go church on Sat...and KTV at Teo Heng after that! If anyone thought that $10 Ktv Club at Chinatown is cheap, Teo Heng is FREAKING cheap! The rates go by per room. We had 2 biggest rooms for the whole lot of us...subconsciously spilt into the 'pro' room and the 'noob' room hahah. NO choice ar... because the pros are so pro, they will make noobs like me feel like I shouldnt even touch the mike..otherwise their ears will explode. Anyway, the noobs room was SO SO SO SO FUN!! :D :D We sang so many fun songs that everyone could sing along with or without mike - like Abba's songs, Spice Girls, some Indian techno songs even, Fergie's songs (by yours truly, but a bit chui haha!!). I think everyone was just pretty high in the room :D Somemore, Daniel came in occasionally to sing and dance to Jay Chou's and Cyndi Huang's songs hahah. Entertaining! :D All for the price of $4.80 per person after 3 hours! I shall be nice and share this place with ya -

Teo Heng Karaoke
Katong Shopping Centre Level 1
Tel: 63456513 / 64402794
Small Room: (1pm-7pm) $8 per hour / (7pm onwards) $14 per hour
Medium Room: (1pm-7pm) $10 per hour / (7pm onwards) $16 per hour
Big Room: (1pm-7pm) $12 per hour / (7pm onwards) $18 per hour

We almost wanted to play Lan after that LOL - 3 v 3 DOTA (Alex, Andy, Ben, Dan, Kaze, me) but its a good thing that Alex and Andy backed out.... heh. I havent touch games for months now, and i wanna keep it that way!

Sunday - The whole family had an advance celebration of my father's birthday and lucky Ben joined us..cos we went to eat at The International, along ECP. When my dad said "international" in the lift, I was like.. international what? buffeT? haha. Ben and I had an eye opening experience with the whole display of live seafood! The scallop...wooot! Almost 3/4 or whole of my face! Prawns, fishes, crabs, they have anything that swims!

The best dish must be the drunken prawns. Been ages since i last ate that..xD They had so many interesting ways of cooking - but after eating everything, I was so thirsty the whole night!!

Monday night - I had fever again..and Ben (finally) brought me to the doc on Tues! =) The polyclinic seemed really empty at 3.45pm. N they seem to have a different clinic for people with cough and flu. We were directed to the Fever Clinic thats isolated somewhere else on the second level with their own registration and payment counter. We had to tie the mask over our faces...for the cough, i understand. Can be lazy and din need to cover my mouth when i cough.. den my nose started getting a lil itchy..and felt it leaking. egah. Cant wipe it...so i pressed it with the mask...den I realized - it would look stupid if there is a wet patch on my mask! x_x

Anyway, at 12+pm today, someone forwarded smses to spread the news that H1N1 has reached Singapore. Jeex. Its inevitable. Just be wise and try to avoid crowded places.

Till the next time.

No more photos =(

Oh greaT! I was happily uploading photos taken on Fri night when sis borrowed Alex's zhai camera, then i got this message.

apparantly, after taking a look at the Picasa web albums and trying to delete old unwanted photos (which is impossible cos theres no such function!!), I think this is probably the end of my photo blog. x_x either i switch over to a new blog, or i blog grandmother stories in future. =/ Paying US$20/year for additional storage space seems quite stupid...

well, some photos of my neighbourhood were uploaded b4 the limit was reached:

i'll be moving on 1st June to Springdale...i already miss Punggol :(

God's Chisel

Sometimes we are really hard on ourselves, we focus on our imperfections a little too much. We view our own life with a flawed perspective. We hold on the previous pains... it hurts us. We think no one understands our pain. BUT, our pains hurt God more than it hurts us. God understands - because He sent His son to die for our pain and sins, and to give us freedom. We think we cant be good, but God made us to be good.

Insanity is doing the same thing over and over, again and again, expecting different results and returning to the same empty well each time we feel lonely, angry, frustrated, tired, BUT they do not work....

Well, watch this video - its so awesome - you will get a fresh new perspective about yourself:

God does not create junk. God made us to be his beautiful masterpiece.
His love has no boundaries.

Sandra's Birthday

We had a nice birthday celebration for Sandra on Friday's cellgroup! :D

I did her card for her...in a nice blue and black. Upon seeing that, Cheryl (I think) suggested having a blue and black theme for her celebration~ Hehe. I informed whoever I could..and they were really spontaneous! :D

Sandra was really surprised and happy :)

God's blessings

It was followed by some performance proudly contributed by daniel - he wrote a song to the tune of Abba's Dancing Queen and came up with a (silly) dance.. but it was fun lolx.

San opened her presents - Best Sister Gold Medal, a nice top from Uniqlo which was personalized with sequins etc, fur crown, flowers, etc

To remember this day, we took many photos with the mustard tree =)

Domo Kun's pose!
in case you dunno whats domo kun.. its this stupid but cute thing:

Refreshmentssss! yummy, yummy~

Kueh!

Chin Ghee's Strawberry Cheesecake!
it was so nice that I had 2 helpings =D

GOOD!

hehehehehehe. din notice they were so matching till Kerry highlighted it to me ;)

made them do it too!
but on second look, I realize Chin Ghee din quite get it. she was doing "rock on!"

and we had a good laugh - trying to get Silas to SMILE on camera!
aiyo, he looks good when he smiles but he just insists on his "bouncer" pose (cross arms plus fierce/stoned face)

hahaha, see how funny it was - by Nap's expression!!!

YAAY captured.

oh no, 1 more month of holidays left. =/ hope I get well soon.. so i can do more things!

Moving soon :(

Its been a week since I've taken these photos! Time flew this week even thou it didnt seem like I did much, but somehow I just din quite have the time to blog.

Last Sunday, my whole family made a trip down to Springdale to sign the contract and we took a last look at everything in the house.. and around the condo. I really like the place - the layout of the house is not bad. Like the size of the rooms, the fishes downstairs, the quiet pool AND THE MIRRORS IN THE LIFT!!! but.... i really hate the location. :((( It will be SO FAR from Ben, church and cell group. SOBS!

Living room

lift

mirrors and more mirrors!
my sis looks like a boy here

scaring the fishes away

Bukit Timah Hill just at the back

lotsa koi

slam dunk!

quiet pool on a Sunday afternoon

Thereafter, we went to the nearby Courts to walk till our legs almost broke and ended up not buying anything...but it was quite fun lah, when ur mind is free from exams and readings. So I wont feel guilty wasting my time like this lol.

Anyway, the whole week I've been exercising pretty much - badminton followed by swimming!! however, looking at my body, I dont feel like I shed any of my stubborn fats leh...instead, I've fallen sick and ended up having fever last night after church -_-!

I'll blog again soon, wanna have my movie marathon with bennie now!

Settlers Cafe!

We had a great great time after service on Saturday at Settlers Cafe!! Hehe - people always bond better through doing fun things together! :D As usual, Alex brought his very pro and wonderful DSLR and took lotsa nice photos - credits to his skills and camera!

The FUN people!
cool Alex!

Genius Andy

My dearest boyfriend

Chin, Liz, Fion

Sis and me!

and Michael & Cindy whose photos arent here!

We played 2 games in 2 hours - first was called Apples for Apples
It was so funny and random! Good party game which helps you know your friends better too!

When your friend opens an adjective card which is green (e.g. Sweet), you have 7 red cards in your hands. Choose a card that would best fit your friend's ideals of "Sweet" and place it face down. He/She will pick one that describes sweet to his/her best (she wouldnt know whose card it is) and the winner who got it right gets the green card. First to reach 5 green cards wins! The funny part is that some cards are freaking random. hahh. Like "Fresh" and I threw out the card "Picking Your Nose" hahahh!! Eh.. something fresh comes out of it what?? ok I was wrong.. i din win cos its been in your nose for hours. =X

Ben put out "Scary" and I put "Being in love" hahahah. N guess what he picked it! HAha telepathy... he was scared it wasnt me, and hes so gonna get it from me. LOLx

The 2nd game we played was some acting one (i forgot what its called!) - something like charades but in a modified spelling. It was fun too to see the unglam side of everyone! xD

That night, Ben and I watched Taken and it was SCARY :(( Scary because my friends and I almost went backpacking in Europe ourselves! Now I know how important it is to have guys travelling along - safer! Sometimes we only think about ourselves and the fun we can have.. but i realized that we need to be more responsible for our lives because of our loved ones. Not every father or boyfriend can be so godlike in the show lorr. I dunno why the rating is so poor for the show, but I find it good and engaging. Watch it if you havent! :)

1st Year xD

Friday was our little special day - marks our first year together!! Keke.. can still remember how he asked me to be his gf. so cheesy. xD It was 08-05-08 then...

Now its been a year! And he decided to bring me to the Southern Ridge Trail! Never knew such stuff existed in Singapore really. But while researching bout it: how to drive there, wheres free to park, etc, I found so many interesting stuff on the National Parks website!

We woke up in the morning to a thunderstorm and it was so saddening!! =(( Dunno what else we could do cos we really wanted to go explore this trail~ Nevertheless, we managed to wait out the rain at his place! The sky looked cloudy but at least it stopped raining. We went ahead as planned and poof! Maybe God was trying to clear the skies for us hehe...cos the weather was almost perfect!

Henderson waves bridge

weather was good - no direct sun
however, it was kinda humid after the rain!

Swim, swim!

My week started out rather boring - just staying home all day and helping Ben with his online biz work. Until.....a chat with Cindy on msn on Tuesday afternoon which led to a super impromptu meetup to swim @ Tampines Swimming Complex!!

brought my stupid bright red float cos cos cos.. i dun really know how to swim.
why cant they make it like black, or even better, transparent!?
i feel noob x_x

Hehe, it was pretty fun "swimming" or rather, slacking in the pool. End up I din get to use my float much cos we just stayed ard the same spot. Thus, while chitchatting, I kept my limbs in constant movement to burn some fats!

I pretty much enjoyed the chill out in the water. Not really the workout I intended but I felt that the quality talk we had made me know her better! It was nice spending time with her hehe.

An hour plus later and still in the same spot, our bodies were wrinkling up and we decided to go for the Japanese food! The best thing is - its just right beside the swimming pool! xD

Cindy and her favourite Salmon Belly Soup

Squid Mentai - Wooooohooo!

Wednesday was another spontaneous day - this time, with Liz and Dan! :) I couldnt really wake up for our meetup at 12pm.. snoozed alarm twice and stoned in bed for some time. When I finally left my house, omg.. I was a bit stressed that I'll be 15 mins late. Guess what! The 2 of them were even later than me! haha. good thing I lazed a bit then. =X

We took 372 from Sengkang interchange to Sengkang Sports Complex. Quite easy to get there. Alternatively, one can take LRT there too.. but im not too sure whats the name of the station. We played badminton......FOR FREE! hahaaha. Its so ulu that theres no one! We had many laughs - liz's service, daniel's stupid stunts (as usual!), doing cheerleading stunts on the gym mats, some hiphop moves, ... IT WAS FUN! Daniel being his usual jokerish and random self and Liz was spontaneous.. we did stupid stuff along with him.

The best thing is that Daniel finally agreed to swim with us even though he din bring anything for swimming. haha, he was so shy.. but aiya! Who cares about the basketball tummy right. Cool that the Sengkang Sports Complex is like "all-in-one"! The swimming pool was just steps from the badminton courts.

look at the slides!! Aint they fun-looking?? (not!)
its damn scary... like freefall!

we swam (real swimming this time! shit, should have brought my float) and they played the slides without me.. hahaha. I dont like it lah.. somemore sit down then the stomach got so many layers LOLx. Have to be scared and self-conscious at the same time. x_x

The last part of our stay at the pool was spent in the jacuzzi.. discussing about the Steve Munsey's sermons until it suddenly stopped bubbling. A lifeguard approached me and told me that my denim shorts is not allowed in any of the pools. DIAO?! I've been swimming and walking about the whole place in bikini top and denim shorts for the past 2 hours and all of a sudden, denim shorts are not allowed at all? What the..... Thankfully, we had swam to our hearts' content already. :)

hehe. spending time with friends while exercising is so fun and fulfilling! :) Taking a short break for today. BODY ACHE sia!! x_x

tomorrow is..........a very special day. heh heh. N Ben specially took off for it! Going to the Southern Ridge trail - he kept saying how nice it is..and finally, have the chance to bring me there! ^_^ till then!

House Hunting

Went house hunting around the north and west area on Sunday - total of 5 houses. Some were nice, some were horrid and we cant wait to leave. Heres a rundown on the houses we went:

#1: Woodlands

My sis and I were shocked as to why we were at a HDB area.. my parents said it was for options but my sis made a big NO sign by crossing her arms in front of her face (anime style).

Anyway, the house is like shit lah. Like aloha changi.. lol.. with that disgusting old furniture. Option out!

#2: Springdale
The environment here is very nice~ Peaceful condo, not the crowded kind. N its near the Bukit Timah Hill... I know what my teacher said - not to stay in these condos so that will discourage condo developers to stop encroaching to our primary rainforest but but but......

view from my room window

my dad fell in love with this unit cos its a 3+1. Big house with big rooms - one that my sis and I can sleep in.. e other in the exact same size for study. Niceee. 1 thing I really din like was the ultility rooms behind the kitchen... haha.. It gives me a very weird feeling =/ like some maid was tortured here....... o_o a super small room...and a super small toilet hidden behind the kitchen. I just felt super uneasy there.

#3: Maplewoods

Beautiful beautiful condo with full facilities! However, the unit we viewed is just a small 1 =(

lots of interesting cars in the car park!

the only room besides the master bedroom and its so small! My sis and I can neither sleep together nor study here x_x
but my sis likes the coconut tree view -_-!

master bedroom view

This is out cos its too small.. probably other units if we could find it. My sis' dream is to stay at this condo cos she likes the red and warm exterior. hah.

#4: Warren. This condo is so near Choa Chu Kang MRT - CONVENIENT! When we stepped into the house, we had a pleasant pleasant surprise! The living room is a nice long rectangle, the kitchen has a huge fridge (which my mother loves), the bedrooms have this ledge right beside the window.. and I could totally imagine myself placing a nice soft mat over it and climb up beside the window, do something relaxing like reading a book while glancing outside to see the stars or view. LOL. plus, the balcony. my sis has a thing for balconies.

the view from the balcony

love the toilets toooo! The interior were so beautiful and it looked like a hotel toilet~

nice swimming pool with a gym overlooking it!

Hahaha. immediately, my mum, sis and I fell in love with this condoo lah! But my daddy doesnt like it.. cos he said he doesnt like open air MRT - if people suicide, we can see from our house. -_-!! Anyway, the rent was pretty steep as the house was really nice and theres a lot of demand. Someone offered $2350 already.

#5: Maysprings. Beautiful exterior! but... when we went into the house, I was disgusted and disappointed. Firstly, it was so unkept. There was a stupid beetle at the entrance already...and i HATE beetles. the whole house was dusty..and rusty and plain gross.

view of the condo's facilities from the room

After the whole day of viewing, after a long dog chasing tail, my parents decided to......... just stay at Sengkang. So they are looking at Compassheights now -_-"

Well, I had my bit of fun house viewing too heh heh. :D N i totally love the idea of staying at Sengkang. At least my life wont upside down too much! Even nearer to Ben in fact with the bus 27 xD

Fellowship at Swensons

We had a marvelous service with Pastor Steve Munsey - he is the most dynamic preacher I ever seen. Using just a paragraph from Hosea 1 in the bible, he dramatised it according to today's context...and made it so relevant that everyone could understand God's love for us - its UNCONDITIONAL. =)

After the service, we had a good time of dinner and fellowship at Plaza Singapura's Swensons! Woahh, haven been to PS for some time. N I gave good directions to Ruth while in her car, so proud of myself. Not like someone.....give directions to the driver, then they all lost for hours around Singapore. LOLL :P Let me praise myself a bit: I am not the average girl... cos I can
1) Drive very well - smooth, or racer style, whichever I want
2) Read maps with no problem
3) Play dota - even better than half the guys
4) One of the very few girls who topped I.T. in poly. hahah.
I think I'm just 51% female.

Anyway, Alex brought his Nikon D90 along...and some 50mm lens, that has the super cool effect of focus and unfocus that I like! Credits to Alex for the pictures!

Manpuku - not recommended

The last of Ben Tan's birthday celebrations - @ Manpuku with his family. Pretty curious to try the place but its somewhere I will never go back. Theres quite a fair bit of choices but the queues were crazy..and U cant enjoy ur meal if you have to queue for this and that. I would prefer the Nihon Mura at Tampines Swimming Complex cos you pick what you wanna eat using ice cream sticks, put the little basket of sticks on the counter and sit down while waiting for them to serve you. THATS SO MUCH BETTER! Not to mention... CHEAPER too! With 99cents for a plate of sushi. When its cheaper, you will be more generous in getting more varieties. Manpuku's concept is kinda like Shokudo... BUT Shokudo is better, more space for you to walk around! Its sucha mess at Manpuku and very congested.

Had good feelings when I looked at the display.. but everything is so expensive at Manpuku that I din dare to order much..

though I din like any thing about Manpuku, the sakura deco is really nice.

I got tricked by the super yummy looking fruit tarts!!!!! Queued for like at least half hour for it... and i thought that it would be so great I'll probably come back to Manpuku just for this.

END Up... it was a FLOP. looks good.. but its all cream inside.. the kind that makes you feel like vomitting when you eat.. I shared it with ben's family.. 5 of us to a fruit tart and we couldnt really finish.. x_x

and omg, its $7.80 a slice.. $75 for the whole cake. Whoever bought the whole cake is an idiot. HAHA.

The super long queue at fruit paradise - extends all the way till the back.

Neway.. Ben's parents were really nice.. insisted on buying a cake to celebrate his bday even though its been days. Since they wanted to buy cake, Ben insisted on his favourite cake: CoCo Exotic from 4Leaves~ keke. Now the cake I used to crazed over is his fav cake.. good good, so i can eat it!!

HAHAHA.. dont ask me whats with the stupid handsign.. something that my 17 year old sister does.. which i tot was funny and somewhat cute. LOL.

And with this, goodbye! anyways, it seems like the Europe trip is confirmed byebbyebye due to Swine Flu and whatsorts. a blessing in disguise.....as my finances are running to an all time low.

Ben Tan's Birthday

It was quite hard to convince him to eat at Ichiban for dinner again.. but luckily I managed to do it.. cos of "the plan".

"The plan" is.. we have dinner there at 6.30pm. Then, the rest will all pop in at 7pm to have a surprise birthday celebration!

What we ordered. OMG mentai is just damn nice with EVERYTHING!

at 7.10pm, I was like.. eh.. wheres everyone! We finished our food and I was trying to talk about random stuff and leave that free eclair uneaten.. hahaha. so can drag our stay there. Well.... caught the sight of them from the corner of my eyes and i PHEWed.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BT!

hehehe. he was soooooooooo SHOCKEDDDD!!!!!! everyone screamed happy birthday and started singing..keke. he stressed until he started perspiring profusely in the aircon lor!

hehe. ben issss so happy =))) Thank you for everyone who made his birthday surprise possible. Special thanks Eunice and Ruth toooo for helping with the planning and coordinating cos I was really bz with exams!

Time to go for our Cats playyy. Boy, we were so excited keke :D
the set!

thought we had really great great great seats.. being in the centre and topdown to look at the whole picture. but it seems that its a mucccch better view right at the front or in the box seats cos the cats really come up close to u!!!!! x_x

To be honest, I was so super lost at the beginning.. and trying hard to stay awake.. =X but I must say that after ben explained some stuff to me during the intermission, I kinda got it..and enjoyed the play much better in the second half! In fact, I LOVEd the music and choreography! The music is really catchy siaaa. and the memories song.. u can feel your goosebumps feeling it too.

nice lights display~

Anywayss, gotta go out!

AFTER EXAMS!

Hehhhh! Exams din go well as I would liked it to have, but to hell with it....ITS OVER! xD

Every history student is quite onz about taking a last get together photo :D

Good bye school for 3 monthsss!

Went to JP to look for Mr Ben Tan.. hehhhh. We had a good lunch at Ichiban Sushi...and a very nice longgggggg chat. Talked about everything under the sun...and had lotsa laughs too! Poor PY was quite sad about failing her driving test, but cheer up gallll~ Suay, but just go for it again~ All the driving adventures reminds me of mine in the beginning days haha. I was really so super lucky to get a fierce looking instructor that turned out kind and benevolent. Considering she din make any major mistakes... while I.........strike curb, nv release handbrake (its nv release fully after the ramp), and all sorts of retarded stuff people do when they are nervous.

Anyways, the chat reminds me of the good old days. =)) Neway, we had a little birthday celebration for Ben tan! Coffee Bean din have any lighter..so smart Xue Min suggested to find smokers hahaha. Just outside was the smoking area..i went to ask, thought that the gal would light it for me but she merely passed me the lighter. I stared at it....not knowing how to use LOL x_x luckily its the just press down kind... not the turn turn kind of lighter which I never managed to start a spark before.

Hehe, so sweet of Xm and Py to celebrate his aging! :)

Thereafter, we went to Fairmont.. a free room for the night, courtesy of my daddy cos he's in some Raffles Gourmet Club. =) The room was pretty similar to our Swissotel room on my birthday.. but it was better! We were just super impressed by the pillows LOL! Its the super fluffy and comfy type! So wanted to steal the pillows lor.. and thought of ways to get pass the lobby with the huge pillows...but none =/

It was almost evening time when we got to the hotel and we just slacked at the balcony enjoying the view.

And finally, time for our movie marathon! Wanted to watch my fav show - Bryan Wong's Destination Most Wanted budden ben wanted to watch movies...gah =X

1st show - The boy in striped pyjamas.. omg, its a very nice show set in the Nazi days during the German conquest and repression of the Jews about the horrors of concentration camps. The ending was so sad that I cried and cried x_x Well, will be seeing the real thing when I tour Eastern Europe in May.

Since I was so sad after this, we decided to watch a happier show hahaha. no horror show or soap showssss. We proceeded with Butterfly Effect 3: Revelation. Always heard about this show and how great it is..finally got to watch it for myself! Its pretty good..but just doesnt wow me.

Super tired and sleepy after sucha long day..but ben wanted to watch this stupid 1986 show called The Fly.. hahaha. It was quite exciting lah..and the show is good and watchable even today..so it should be super good in the year we were born.

Anyway, its Ben's actual birthday today! Wish him happy birthday k! Through facebook or sms =))) Pretty excited about the Cats play tonight ^_^

Also, finally checked my email...........I received my reposting. I was originally posted to a CHIJ school in Northeast area.. very good... but sadly I have to request for a reposting as I am moving in June. Anyway, I am posted to a SAP school ^_^ Super excited about the possibilities ahead :) God just wants to post me to a good school lah hehehehe.

Life is GREAT! =)

After exams, I will........

Its my last day of preparing for exams. I dare not say I am fully confident, but I did my best. In this case, I'm trying to practice 'delayed gratification' - a form of discipline whereby you work hard, and then you enjoy the fruits of your hardwork thereafter. Think I did a decent job of that... not going out at all except for church.

Right after exams, it will be a full blast in celebrating Mr Ben Tan's birthday! xD Either kushinbo or other jap restaurants together with Xue Min and Pei Ying (our matchmakers)...followed by some mahjong in the hotel room in Fairmont my dad gave me for free! ^_^

Highlight of Wednesday is the Cats play! Courtesy of Ben~ He paid $240 for our tickets...and I checked, its very good seats! =)

My brain is exploding with random history terms like androcentric, presentism, Renaissance Italy, .... I prepared three approximately 1800 - 2000 words essays to memorise and discharge during exams lolzz.

Till the next time I have internet connection! Else refer to the twitter box at the side if you are interested in my currently-boring-but-wont-be-boring-after-exams life.

First day of Poly

Heh, my sister starts the first day of poly today at Republic Poly and it seems really exciting. She already met someone special through her orientation camp last week! ;)

Makes me think back about my poly life...and I would really love to go back Poly! I remember I was misled in whole of year 1 that only the 3rd year's results would matter...so who cares about the first 2 years right. My results for first 2 sems were so bad..... but I think I am a testimony that you can pull up your GPA with some hard work (even though I play game everyday and night then). My hard work means reading through on the way to school just before the exam hahah. I guess I'm talented lah.. afterall, I play so much games.. I.T. is kinda my thing.

not very creative of me.

i totally sucked at oral comm! I got the worst grade for it again in uni, btw.

Yea, it was at this point that I realized some idiot is feeding me with false information...probably so that I wont be smarter than him. Anyway, after I learnt that one of my classmate is sucha genius and got consistent As..i realized I can do it too! after all, I had decent grades to go normal JC and the course im in is for rejects - people who fail eng, bad grades, etc. I went in because of my boyfriend then. quite silly, but i made the right choice... I think JC sucks, based on what I hear from the JC peeps.

Learning Jap was so fun! I remember I was kinda suicidal at this time, going for Jap classes with wounds on my arms haha. Looks like I handled school fine.

At the end of this semester, I developed an aversion for B+s. So sick of seeing B+s on my exam results. I wanted straight As...!

Anyway, year 3 on... I have full GPA (4 out of 4) for the whole year. Quite proud of myselffff~

if you ever see the "fedex" commercial I did with 4 other friends for my audio and video project...you'll see my horrible long permed hair and the lame shitting scene was so funny! We made a groupmate gek sai and all that funny faces...then realize no toilet paper. Super sian, he suddenly saw the advertisement in front of him with a no. to call for emergency delivery..oh yea, so the parcel with a toilet paper roll was slowly lowered into his cubicle..tada.. cant believe we thought of this! This advertisement is to show that we will deliver anywhere, for anything, at anytime. hahax.

From chuiness, I managed to pull up my grades and be the top for my major - E-commerce. So tyco :) Won some Infocomm technology award. Those were the good days.

Poly life was pretty fun, just a pity I never got close to the fun people in my class as I was always with my bf then. A pity.

I'm glad to know that the friends I made in Uni are the kind I will be in contact with even after gradation and probably be my jie-meis in future heh =P

Anyway, out of frustration with my skin problems (cos I've been using all sorts of random facial wash), I went on a splurge and bought 2 tubes of SK2 facial wash. Cool that Ben's mum work at DFS in the airport.. so she got them for me tax-free PLUS 30% staff discount! xD
I think the way I spend money scares his mother.

Grandma's birthday

Yesterday was my grandmother's 79th birthday and we celebrated at this Teochew restaurant in Bukit Batok. the oral history proj I did which required me to interview her twice made me feel closer to her..and we had a mini reunion!

Grandma, mummy and me
wrote a 3 generations of woman's history

Brought my sister's fren's doll, Boyboy, along. Hes a tiny breed for dolfies - think the length of my foot. haha, by the way, my sister was interviewed by a Straits Times journalist about dolfies in Singapore bout a week or two ago.

Cute neckless thing.

Anyways, according to traditions - we will take a third generation photos yearly with granny hehe =)
nvm, take again!

whats with captain spongebob's eyes!!!
hahaha. my sis and I LOL-ed at the photo.
anyway.. b is some racist shit my cousin came up with.
Once during the dinner, she suddenly broke out in uncontrollable laughter. Thought what sia... till my sis told me its just 2 banglas walking past the restaurant. o_o

finally. but ah ma zzz liao.

all in all, it was a fun celebration! cos my uncle told me his experiences when he was "browsing" thru the Old Bugis Street and Queen Street.. heh. All the transvestites that used to be there and the crazy things. BTW, do you know Singapore was the capital of sex change in the 1960s? Haha. ask your parents or grandparents. I studied it in my heritage and culture module so it cant be wrong! though the lecturer teaching us this module is....an aussie. Aussie teaching Singapore's heritage - so ironic! Hes super knowledgeable thou. And i totally enjoyed his module - relax siaaa. Every lesson watch videos... I thought so. Until someone told me that actually after every video he gives an explanation... OMG. dunno what Im doing. Only switch on during video and switch off after that. Anyway, just had the paper earlier on..and it was GREAT =) It felt good that you know what you're writing.. hahah. unlike some papers.. I write a lot but I have no idea what the hell I'm crapping about. Thank God Su reminded Xue Min that the paper is today lah... else blur her will come on the 22nd...and its the end for her. She can watch videos for another sem...and listen to the explanations thereafter.

hehehex one paper down!

No More Assignments!

Oh sweet! Today I have handed in the last 2 assignments~~~ went to bed at 4+am but maybe Im excited or something, I just couldnt sleep till 5+am...and I had to wake up at 7+am x_x I was basically quite retarded the whole day. Like staring at the printing machine when it asked me to tab my cash card.. until it timed out. I've printed stuff a million times in the lib but its the first time I'm so stone.. super paiseh to turn around to face the people waiting behind me =X another silly thing is taking out my ez link to open the door. omg. Well.. im trying to 'tong' now and sleep earlier tonight instead. Hehe, onwards to a healthy lifestyle!

my group's Social Studies lesson plan.. lolx no joke. Thank you dear members for all your hardwork! ^_^

at noon, I finally submitted both da assignments - the lesson plan and my history essay =)

good o' ben came to join me at the library...we were hungry and tired but my stomach took over and craved for some Ichiban!

hungrrry :O

Woah, its definitely one of my favourite Jap restaurants now.....as it serves Mentaiko Salmon Yaki Wazen. The salmon with mentai on top was just HEAVENLY! Mentai goes with everything man... I'm so gonna hunt down where sells mentai and put it on everything I eat!
try it some time! its only $15.90 and it comes with rice, miso, fruit, baby octopus, fried tofu =)

Ok. Maybe I cant tahan till night time =X im so zonked outtt.

Tampines One

Went to check out Tampines One on its first day of opening!!

As predicted, it was super crowded after the working hours. So crowded you need to queue for the escalator even!
Anyways, the highlight of the mall should be the Uniqlo store..and theres a long queue in order to go in!

It was chaotic and crazyy haha. Managed to land my hand on the brochure and to be honest, its a lot of branding. The models make the clothes look great. but the clothes by itself are just plain.

Lucky they never open Waraku there.. else I will force Ben to eat it with me all the time. But shit.... guess what. they have a J.Co donuts outlet opening soon...first level beside the escalator somemore x_x Everytime I see J.Co I will buy a dozen donuts leh... -_-

heh. anyways, ben and I watched Fast and Furious! Think its pretty good even thou its damn unrealistic. Very exciting show that keeps you engaged! Ben and I watch until we were very high and ran from tamp mall to his place. hahha. I'm keen to watch the Gran Torino. Joanne Peh mentioned it on her blog about how zhai it is...seems like a must watch!

Its Good Friday tomorrow =)

HAPPY EASTER EVERYONE!
