Adventure Cambodia - DAY 3

We decided to visit the far away temples of Angkor on this day. Bantrey Srei is a temple built and carved by women.. so u can see the size is less impressive as compared to the majestic Angkor Wat and others..but the carvings are so detailed!! A very beautiful temple that shows "girl power!!" hehe :) A good ~55km NE from the main Angkor area.

We slpt till late morning which I later realized is a bad idea, coz we wasted a morning without seeing the spectacular sun rise over the temples! Theres several recommended places to watch sunrise and sunset.. so be sure to find out before going!

Near the entrance of Bantrey Srei. Serene sight huh? Good thing we captured at the right moment, becoz seconds later, she was yawning and yawning away..and tat wont make a nice pic!

This is the entrance~ The place is meant for petite people~

Towers in the middle~

Our favourite pic of the lot! Theres actually a lot of people, but we always wait for the crowd to clear to get better shots =)

At the corner of the temple.. can see the back about to crumble as it leans in.

-

After lunch and some resting, we proceeded to the Rulous group of temples.. far also, in the East direction. Theres 3 temples in the group - Lolei, Prah Ko, and Bakong.

The first temple we visited is Lolei. I'm starting to think that the guidebook is cheating me lah!! It shows the temple top with beautiful red plants growing on it.. making it look unique. But when we went, it was bare and looks normal. Not much of a sight...

Prah Ko was much better.. a bigger compound and almost no one around, giving us complete privacy =))
Stupid Danny bully me! Told me to climb up this tower to take photo..and he would join me later. After the shot, he ran away..leaving me there helpless! Made me plead him by saying "dear, im scared".. i said "you're a pig" instead =X

Candid shot LOL.When he still refused to come get me, I tried to make my way down myself. So cute..when he saw that and ran over immediately. ^_^ The steps are kinda steep and very narrow..and my haivannas trek sandals has lost its grip.

When theres no one around, you can do anything you want!

Attempt some mediating. . .

Climb wall like spiderman. . .

An overall view of the temple.

Tried to jump with timer mode. Successful on my 2nd attempt!!

So... made Danny jump with me! Haha!! See he jumped so high!
Pro right!! he can slam dunk 1 lehz.

Next stop: Bakong. This temple is classified under one of the 3 out of 3 stars temple.. sort of like "must see". We were supposed to watch sunset there. According to our driver cum guide, sunset is 5.30pm. But we waited till then and the sun was still high..plus if the sun really sets, there will be little light for us to get down from the submit which is dangerous given the steep and narrow steps.

Its a long way up....
and a long way down...

Thats all for temples visiting on this day! We went back to hotel...to get ready for a sumptuous dinner, some night shopping and night life.

Our driver din mention anything about $$..so we thought its free-will. End up he ask for USD$10 for his petrol 'only'. -_-!

This is the night market there... newly opened for just 3 weeks
Surprisingly clean and neat right!! The shop owners there are very polite..and they kept assuring that its ok to take a look even if not buying. They speak relatively good English at this place... Everything is great..except that theres no wind. Super hot!~ We left after getting a handbag for me from the driver's gf shop.

Our driver, Mark, commented that I look really like his gf in the afternoon..haha, Danny's answer to him was "then your gf must be pretty" =D When we saw her, we look kinda alike.. in terms of size. Just that she have long beautiful hair~ while i have short cooling and cool hair =X

What ya think?? Slight resemblance??

When we left the market, Mark told us that his gf was in a down mood and refused to tell him why. We immediately suggested to him to bring her along with us.. better than leaving her there!

We went to the most happening club in Siem Reap: Zone One. Eh, the entrance was full of skimpily dressed girls.. this gave me the impression that its a 'dirty' club.. Come to think of it, maybe Mark's gf is unhappy about Mark coming to such a place?? If Danny went without me, he gonna get it from me =X

We had several cocktails while Mark and his gf drank Spy, a non alcoholic drink thats like wine.

Played finger guessing game.. but it was too complicated for them.. ended up with juz scissor paper stone. lols.

My drink called "I Love You", made up of Kahlua, Baileys, Amaratto, and Cointreau.

Managed to persuade Danny to get down to the Dance floor!! Wooohoo!! His first time dancing.. and it was quite a fun experience! Anyways, however we look like there, no one will ever remember us!! ha! To be honest, the people's dancing standard there a bit the chui as compared to SG's clubs.

The music there was sort of sucky thou.. its like oldies plus some beat? LOL! The funniest thing is they have hokkien songs~

We left not too long later, and went for a spin downtown.. pass Angkor Wat and ard the airport area. As Angkor is pitch dark, its pointless -_-!! Theres no street lights there coz it wont be natural already!~

Stopped by an empty field and watched the stars.. Waah, its my first time seeing so many stars.. almost the whole sky was filled with bright stars!!! =)))))) In Sg, normally only can spot 'orion' - the 3 in a row stars..
