Phuket with family
Went to Phuket with my family from 19 June to 21 June. A very last minute trip.. only decided and booked the tickets on the day before!!Sis was extremely excited about this trip..and being on a plane.. She havent sat on a plane since she was 3 years old!
The flight was fine at first..about 3/4 of the journey, we noticed it started raining.. First time it rained while im on the plane. It got bumpier and bumpier..due to the thunderstorm... And worst, we cant land as the thunderstorm is just right above the city and airport area!! All the lights were off to conserve oil... God, I must admit I was scared...and for some moments, it dawned upon me that we might die on the plane... I was busy praying! We tried to land..in vain. The sudden turbulences made the plane have to cruise ard the area longer. My life flashed through my mind...just like Gingerbread man in Shrek 3. Minus the dazed singing part of coz!! THANK GOd we finally managed to land...it was a jerky descend...but just thank God we are on ground le!!
Taken outside the airport. U will realize that we both keep doing 'peace' signs in shots. I'm being in tune with my teenage sister.Went on a city tour which is part of the package..as we reached there early in the morning and hotel check in time is about noon time.
Visited the WORLD'S BIGGEST JEWELLERY STORE :
Thats what they call themselves... Instead of showing interest in the gems, sis and I were more interested in the sharks swimming in those huge tanks! =XNext stop: Local food factory!! All the products have samplers!! I was hungry before i went in..and came out feeling satisfied!! I tried almost everything that I would dare to eat...

Lunch was recommended by the tour guide.. a local fav: Beef soup!! Eh... the beef was so thinly sliced.. just like sukiyaki beef! Yums!! Even thou I claim that I dont eat red meat... this is nice!! My retarded sis just ate plain rice as the shop only sells beef and rice -_- She refused to eat the beef... which is gd for me as I had double portion.. =X
We arrived at our hotel - Graceland Resort and Spa! Not a let down!!Sis and I immediately checked out the toilet as we are looking forward to a great bubble bath
Hmm, big enuff to fit the both of us in!The room looks comfy.. good for 3...
In order not to fight who gets to slp on the bigger bed, we decided to share it..hahaa!!the smaller bed is for eating on it..=X
We dug out our bubble bath foam and filled up the tub!!
Sis poured a lot of foam......

Its finally not raining!! Been raining on and off the entire day due to monsoon!
A nice big pool... jus want to soak in it.. It has a pool bar too! Too bad Danny isnt with me.. =(Went for traditional thai massage.. Dad spent $100+ for all 4 of us. SERIOUSLY, i must say that its THE BEST MASSAGE I EVER HAD!! The first time i never laugh at all... The lady was pressing on all the right spots and it feels good!!
For our dinner plus night entertainment, we went FantaSea...
As this huge statue holding the FantaSea board suggests, the highlight of this place is their elephants..Yah.. even pepsi elephant
The whole place is so beautiful...
But in my heart, Angkor Wat will always be better... comparing both of them, this place looks so artificial.. with its fake ruins..
Palace of the Elephants.. a huge theatre for our night show later...First, we were all hungry...!! Time for our buffet!!
Woah, the restaurant is damn big right!!?! Foood was good!!
Esp the duck breast with the gravy... oh my oh my!!!
We proceeded to the show.. and it was raining again!! Ahh... seems like a bad timing to come at this time... monsoon period sia...
Managed to get to our show. Our cameras and hps had to be deposited... when we entered, we found out why... coz there are elephants, baby leopards, and other cool animals for you to take shots with.. then they would charge.. no wondeR!
The beginning of the show was slightly boring... But it got pretty interesting!
The highlights of the show to me is:
the magic part...really cut this audience into half..OMG!
trapezium performance.. from the ceiling.. it came as a surprise and they had very nice moves.
da elephants! - very disciplined...they had their own solo performance..!! wow...they could even stand on their legs together~ there was this part one of them kept pooping lol!! then a guy hurry ran in and sweep it up.
muahaha!! good thing we nv pay to take shots with the elephants b4 the show!! becoz can take for free after the show!!
Rock on!! the elephant looks kind of fake!We were shagged out... by the time we reached hotel.. it was past midnight.
On day 2, we woke up at about 6.12am to dress up and go downstairs for our buffet breakfast b4 going for our island experience.
Woohoo!! Their huge variety for breakfast....is so tempting.. kao, far cry from our 2half star hotel in Cambodia.. went there 1 morning and we din even dare to go back there again EVEN IF ITS FREE!
Took a long van ride to the Jetty..then about 40 mins boat ride to the first island.. Our package is 4-in-1 islands canoe (with a big grp of pple). We sat on the lower deck of the boat as it shld be less shaky.. sis and I are very prone to sea sickness.. haha~
At the first island, all the life jackets were snapped up.. wah lao, how can have not enuff life jackets! Worst still, sis and i dunno how to swim de lor.... Theres a local on each canoe to paddle... was wondering, if the whole canoe flipped, who shld he save first? =/
Woo, my first caving experience!! Wah... we had to lie down in the canoe... with the top of the cave just inches above your nose, its...some experience!
The guy paddling us, Isman, kept disturbing us.. paddle to this part where water is dripping down...and we were wet from "raining in the cave"!
When we got back to the boat, we decided to stay at the front of the boat...can look out, breathe in the scenery..and be less seasick also.
I realized I have no idea which island we went or were going to... opps.
slowly coming out of a dark cave...I once came around this area when I went Krabi beginning of this year... it was low tide then.. so the mangrove were dry and thus many areas were unaccessible.. this time, its high tide... yaay! got to explore around the places i din get to go in previously.
Look carefully.. what is this ??
haha.. on first look, i made out thats its an elephant!! Some people just cant see it..

3rd island.. hehe.. I know the name of this island...!! Its Tapoo Island... but better known as James Bond island as he came here to film b4.
Yah, this is the infamous James Bond rock.. (i think)
Even my mum is joining the teenage trend!!
Tried my jumping shot again... Looking carefully at the pic, haha...someone is in the shot too.. that extra @#@#! But cute lah..makes this shot more special.
If my dad isnt funny, i dunno how else to describe him.. I stood in front of a small crowd waiting to take pic of them with the backgrd too. Well... at least a third of me is in the pic??Leaving this island... took several last shots b4 i kept my camera and went for a dip (in life jacket)
Funny thing is....I'm with someone who cant swim for nuts too.. so we were wearing life jacket and still hanging ard at the shallow area... we must have been a hilarious sight... -_-
On the last day, we visited Patong beach.. the beach right in front of our hotel.. and the one that Tsunami came and took many lives..
Other than the first day, thank God that the second day and third day had such fine weather!!
It was scorching hot!!
And a poor fish was cooking in the sun..
till my sis buried it... its probably cooking in the sand...

aiya..everytime oso the same pattern... so i tried to do different ones:

its little considering the vast size of the beach... but we wrote it pretty big already!We went down town to walkwalk... plus do a little shopping.

We walked on and on...and saw the exact same sign the road down -_-! 300m..... walk so much still 300m.... walk somemore... and turned a corner.. and it still says 300m.. wtF!i found something more fascinating lor...
hahaa... Bangla massage for you ???Din manage to shop much... coz they reallly want to 'tok' you... They charge so expensive!! A good few times more than the prices I get in Krabi town... =/
Got to sit their tuk tuk.. so different from Cambodia's tuk tuk... wasted i din take shots of either countries' tuktuk... damn!!
At the airport.... our flight got delayed.. jeez. Boring wait as all the shops in airport were closed after 9pm!!
I missed him a lot during this hols... =((Back in SG, i reached at about 2am.. just about 20 to 30 secs after i on my phone in the plane, he called le.. he had been trying and trying to get me since night time as he din noe wad time i would reach.. so sweet =) I thought he would wait at the airport for me lor... =x but good thg he din also, since the flight got delayed.. Anyway..he happened to have off the next day..and rushed over to my house to accompany me once i got back.. good enough :)
