Korean BBQ xD

After a really impromptu Xue Min's quest for some yummy Korean BBQ buffet, she managed to persuade her bf, me and ben to join her. Heh. We were like googling "Korean BBQ" etc on Google.. reading reviews on Hungrygowhere.com... and narrowed our prospects to Awon or Shillawon, both at City Hall. Both seemed to be good in their own ways according to the reviews.. there are some really full of praise while some thought it was not worth the money for both.. so after some long discussion, we both decided to go for the cheaper alternative - Awon.

We met up at City Hall mrt and while we were walking towards e hotel beside Funan, we told Ben tan about our decision making process.. and he asked the restaurant name.. when we told him Awon, he was stopped in his tracks in complete shock and horror. He went this place before, and he belongs to the Awon sucks camp. Ah. We did a 180 degrees u-turn and made our way down to Suntec then. We walked by the roads instead of Citilink and saw the F1 preparations. Wow.. cool.. just that I'm never into these sort of thgs.

We took a couple of shots with the grandstand behind us. The skyline backdrop is very pretty too, but my iPhone did not live up to capture it.

Upon reaching the 3rd level of Suntec, we noticed that Shillawon was VERY empty. Xue Min said because its a weekday.. and our glances went over to the queue and crowd at Kuishinbo.. Ok, maybe not.

We had a nice private corner for the 4 of us and we glanced happily at the buffet menu :D

good for the staff service and marinated meat and salmon sashimi and we dont smell like BBQ thereafter.
a pity theres no prawns and some other nice food for weekday menu

Is this considered a double date? haha!


If theres a competition between Red team and Blue team, I think the guy for red team won.. cos blue team guy's stomach bu zhen ji. and... blue team girl winsss. not much girls can outbeat her in the first place =x

After the buffet, I dunno what got into Xue Min but she was obviously in a camwhoring mode! hahha!! Then again, Wai Chong's camera is not bad! LOVE the front camera function man!! If iPhone has that, I would use iPhone forever. hahah. I was tempted to trade my phone for his phone lorr!! Samsung something..not sure.


and we snapped and snapped all the way until poor Mr Ben tan was really tired haha.

Along the way in Citilink, Ben pointed to a lady in black inside Gelare and said she looks like Wan Ee (our ex cell group leader). I looked and said yeah really looks like. Suddenly, she looked up and waved back to us!! hahah omg its really her! If she din wave back, we would have just walked past. heh.. Wan Ee is a source of inspiration for me.. cos shes a teacher too - a great teacher, a great leader and a great wife (ok, i wouldnt know that but she always tells us she tries her best).
